Has anyone had a problem with the chrome flaking on the their handles

Anyone had them rechromed or are they not metal

Mine are ok Crome wise, but one of the handles broke a while ago and to replace it was £200, it was actually the cast bit that broke. so I refused that idea and just bought some button catches for £5 and used them they look ok. (y)

Not sure if it’s the same handle but I had to replace one of the drawer ones on my Elegance and it was £45 from my local Burstner dealer. Think I would’ve been looking at other options before parting with £200. The square tube is metal and I would expect it could be rechromed but wouldn’t think that would be cheap.

Was at the Burstner factory service centre a month or so ago with the Burstner owners club and another on the rally wanted one which he got from the service centre for about 45 Euros

Hard to tell how bad the issue is by the picture. I had a couple replaced under warranty. I noticed a few scratches on one of the other ones, cause by perhaps a ring catching it as we opened it. I took the handle off and removed the central metal bar and turned it so the scratches were underneath. Perhaps you may be able to do that and save some money?
