Bullfinch external gas socket plug loose.

We have a Bullfinch external gas socket. The plug pushes in and then rotates to turn on the flow. However there does not seem to be any detent, it just flops around. To keep the thing turned in I have ensure the hose pulls slightly to keep it in the on position. Is this normal? It was a new kit I fitted myself, have I done something wrong.

Ours fits quite tight once turned

Ours requires a reasonable amount of pressure to push in which looks to be against an "O" ring, and the is turned through 90 degrees and remains tensioned in that position.

Make sure the hose insertion position is horizontal so the hose is vertical when its in use. That way you have gravity helping.

Seems my fitting is normal, will ensure hose is positioned to hold valve open.
