Brexit just got personal...

So... just rang my vet to book an animal health cert to take hound with us to Spain (hopefully!) in September. The cost? £250!!!!

And if we wanted to go again, even within the four month validity, we'd have to pay another £250. As opposed to the three year passport we still hold for him.

Anyone care to explain to me the benefits of Brexit I am experiencing that will offset this?
 
Phone around, other vets will charge less, I was quoted 150 but didn't go in the end.

Also of you're going for over 3 weeks get a French passport when you arrive, same as the old UK one lasts 3 years

A vaccine ? (y)
The UK's self certification was actually done within EU rules while EU rules still applied.

The choice of vaccines was also up to the country. E.g. Slovakia has vaccinated lots using the Russian Sputnik vaccine.

So no, Brexit made no difference to vaccinations.
