Hello again !

I’ve got three questions here.

I’ve bought a fridge fan kit and I’m looking behind the fridge for 12v from the habitation battery to supply power for the fans. I found nothing but I was only looking at red wires. Stupid me.

I found a Thetford installation document for my N3000 series and it says the red and white are for the high current supply switched by the D+ with engine running.

The purple and black wires are for the low current electronics protected with a 1.1A fuse. Is the purple wire where I should be splicing the supply to the fan ? I can’t see where the fuse is but I need to know it’s location just in case I blow it ! Can I use any earth I can find, surely I can find an easier one to connect to ?

All help appreciated.

Thanks.

I don't know about the wiring , but deep in the recesses of my very limited brain, I recall that it's advised to ensure that the fan blows out of the van and not into it. This is just in case there may be a small carbon monoxide leak and you don't want to blow that into the van.

yes it does. Thanks, now I know it's the purple wire.

Hss to blow out of the top vent as otherwwise it would be opposing the normal air flow and would be highly inefficient. If you use the Wire protected with a 1.1a fuse you may need to fit a slightly higher rated one perhaps 3a

Thetford uses is a 1.1A fuse somewhere, but I don't see where. I have the CBE MCV-2 fans which are 0.1 amp each. If this fuse is visible and accessible then I'm hoping I don't need another fuse but I don't know where this fuse is so maybe I'll have to add another
