good morning to all has anybody tried these bonnet bra they are advertising thinking of getting one to save spring bonnet thanks in anticipation.

The problem with the bras is that the bra & car need to be immaculately clean before fitting or paintwork will get scratched.

I thought about having one but we have towed for over 12 years and yes the car does sometimes get dirty en route but easily washed off but no sign of paint damage.

Ok until water collects under them and rots the bonnet.

A friend of mine has a bonnet bra fitted to his Honda. When he came to trade it in the dealer dropped the price because the paint under the bra was a slightly different shade to the rest of the bonnet.
We removed the bra and polished the bonnet before taking the car to another dealer.

I had a bonnet bra on a T4 but used to take it off regularly. If you leave it on water sits behind it and affects the paintwork. Ok to put on a toad for the journey to protect from stone chips etc. (y)
