Ive been running 2 KS energy Lithium batteries wired together and previoulsy in the app they have always shown as KS0042 and KS0047

Now one seems to show up strange and asks to be paired as PR BT 8E22, ,when trying to pair it says unsuccesful.
NOW the other thing is , when using 2 batteries the charge going in and out would show as half on each battery so if the b2b is chucking in 40 amps it will show 20 going in on each obvs.
But now the only battery I can connect to is the KS0042 and this shows 40 amps going in.

Do I have a knackered battery maybe,(cant see that as they are wired together) or app issue. Im going on the ferry on sunday and would contact KS myself but they are off until 20th, so wondered if anyone could shed any light.

It sounds like the BMS has shut down one of the batteries and the other it now doing all the work.

Is there a way to reset them?

A friend of mine has a similar issue with his pair of batteries, with one BMS on a battery saying the battery is down to 20% but they are wired in parallel. He is an electronics and software engineer and believes it is down to a firmware issue in the BMS that may have updated recently and failed on one battery, possibly confused as the other one is connected to it

He has delved into the settings within the app and says it is typical Chinese rubbish and badly written and implemented.

Currently awaiting a proper reply from the supplier, who is waiting on the manufacturer

I know nothing about these things but as it's Bluetooth, has it picked up a signal from a nearby van with the same setup?

gotta be honest thats one thing, the app is a bit ropey at tmes, you always have had to to restart it to see them regularly

I thought that maybe at first but the same name shows up even when I drive out

Sounds like a software glitch. You could disconnect the batteries and check the voltage on each one. If they are both the same probably nothing to worry about.

Definitely sounds like the one battery has been isolated by its BMS.

Does the BMS allow you to disconnect the charge and discharge ports? If so, might be worth isolating the charge/discharge ports (on the visible battery) to see if that forces the absent battery to reveal itself by picking up any loads connected.

Assuming you are looking at the correct battery install, I would be pretty positive that one of the batteries has shut down (maybe faulty, maybe decided to go into sleep mode).
That is the only way a single battery in parallel can be seeing all the charge current.

to be sure it is the right battery, keep looking at the app and turn off the charger (or just pull the EHU plug) and see if the current instantly drops. then put back and see if it starts again immediately

The people that assembled your battery probably didn't design the BMS or write the software for the app.

The majority of these batteries use one of only a handful of different BMS brands. Daly is a pretty common BMS. They are almost all Chinese. And they almost all use the same app, or rebranded copies of the same app.

disconnected both batteries, 1 reading 13.24
1 reading 13.17

removed all cables refired the app and now shows as previous BUT with this new cuplrit PRBT 8E22 still floating around.
Im trying to think if Ive got any new kit recently in the van with blutooth but cant that just coincidence shows up at this time the other died?
so the below shows the original 2 + the rogue PR one,

Ive got my victorn charger out and will charge one at a time to 100% and go from there.

thanks for the pointers

A quick Google throws up plenty with that identification mainly blu tooth speakers or eat phoned.

My KS App always shows the MAC for each battery.
If you've got the MAC address, you can feed it into a MAC lookup website and it might give you further clues as to what the device is.

MAC addresses look similar to this:
aa:bb:12:34:56:78
