Begs the question.... Why didn't you stop when you first felt/heard it make contact.
Or did a van reverse into you.
Insurance would most likely write that off as a financial loss.... A hell of a lot of work

Ouch!
A big job, to do it properly the internal cabinets will need to come out.

I've used these guys in Rotherham and they are very good.

Could you get a photo from slightly further back. It's hard to understand the extent without seeing which way the vehicle is pointing

Its the rear passenger side wheel you can see. Photograph taken from front, passenger side. Edge of opening side door .Vehicle Ducato Seems to be no serious damage to underside, and none to cabinets inside..Main damage is to rear panel over wheel..

It it was an insurance job it would be write off as it would cost too much to put it back to it's original condition. However a good garage will make a repair that will be fine for not too much money. It will be able to be straightened out and filled

Does the sliding door open and shut ok?

That’s not that bad, a body repair shop with experience is going to spend 3-4 hrs max. The challenge is a body shop with a large enough oven to fit the van in for the pain bake. All is going to do is spot weld studs and slide hammer to pull out the most dents. Sanding, Body filler, sanding, primer, paint and polish. If a oven is used it can speed it up and get good results. Without oven, In winter, not doable.

Doesn't look much to me , how old is the van does the door open?
Just spray it over and ignore it.

Fit a second hand door, that will give you the correct profile to dress and fill the rear quarter panel.

Sorry, just noticed the sign writing on the door.

No one else involved, just me the vehicle and my "gatepost". Once impaled it went neither forwards nor backwards without causing such damage..Pilot error.
will try Autocraft..
Would appreciate updates please?

That is going to be a big bill, expect in excess of 2 grand

You'd have change from 500€ here.

I had panel damage on a transit, opposite side loading door. Needed a new panel and window plus paint. That was £1600 a couple of years ago. and a front bumper replaced on a Navara at about £1300. Neither done by me I will add
The last full respray, same colour blowover on a panel van was about £2000.

Bloody expensive round here

the second photo is clearer as some one said it can be pin pulled and filled quite easily if its insulated they will have to use glue on pins

DMR near Bawtry cut out the rusty bits of our Transit including fitting a new door pillar. They were not cheap but the customer service was spot on. They kept informed as worked progressed and the finished repairs were very good.

veteran apologies for laughing, but have spluttered over my keyboard again at the last post. Hope you get it fixed ok.

I forgot the isle of mann is a third world country where you can get a dent hammered out at the side of the road at £5 an hour with parts from a scrapyard
Yeah that's a good point. In fact here we wouldn't even bother fixing it. Just bash the other side and make it match.

It looks an oldish van and I just think a fairly cheap but manageable repair is the best ootion

Come on, people. It’ll buff out! That’s what you usually say.

Easy repair for a decent body shop, no need to remove anything inside the van. Hardest thing will be finding a body line they can paint up to if you don’t paint the whole side as that sort of colour can be a nightmare to blend.

Keep the cost down by having a bottom half spray job only on that side and put a vinyl pin stripe on both sides to hide the line.

My guess £600-£800 if it’s just repair and paint as low as possible.
