I haven’t used that particular one but as a rule, they are great! Why cancel it? The small fee is only for the month it is used. Keep if for further trips.
The first tag we had was ATMB which is attached to a zero fee uk credit card and now we have a Fulli which didn’t allow the credit card so I attached it to my Revolut euro account.

Not used Bip & Go, I have Fulli.
Fulli requires an account that accepts Euro charges, I presume Bip & Go does as well.

Link to rececnt thread, below, re subscribing to Fulli, Bip & Go may need French name as well & some suitable accounts.
I have Starling account.

You’ll need your iban number from your bank a/c .. I’m with Lloyds and it was easy to set up

We have Big and Go (or Bip and Drive as I think it might be known) and Sanef SA, both hitched to a Starling account and paying in Sterling. Small monthly fee when you use it otherwise it is just dormant. Well worth the lack of aggro at toll booths and I believe in Spain at least they are heading to anpr monitoring rather than have the booths so the Sanef SA is probably a good way to avoid fines.

We applied for one a month before going to France and it didn't arrive in time 😔 we are keeping it though as we are on the 'only charge for months used' basis.

We used our Bip & Go for the first time yesterday, from Nantes down to Bordeaux. At the toll bar something beeped and the barrier lifted, same at Bordeaux.
Question is,how long does it take for the charge to be debited as 24 hours later there is no payment at Bip & Go nor my bank

Our Bip and Go is paid by direct debit at the end of the month the thing was used. They also remind you by e:mail to check the battery in the gizmo is still fully functioning by logging into your account. We have had it since this time last year (two x five week trips) and it's a game changer.
I have even risked going through the 30kmp lane when I'm up for the thrill of it :giggler:

We use Bip&Drive. I think Bip&Go is cheaper on the just France plan, while Bip&Drive is cheaper on just Spain. The France, Spain & Italy plans are I think the same. Anyway, we've used it for some 5 years and only pay for the months we use it. Works perfectly here in Spain as on all the Portuguese toll systems. Highly recommended.

We just tried to use our bip and go for the first time and nothing happened :-( we had to pay with a card to get the barrier u.

Do I need to do anything to activate or prepay before it works?

It’s mounted as recommended behind the rear view mirror. With the end of the bipper poking our so you can see the bar code.

Did you go thro' the correct lane, the one with

Not all the lanes are available. HINT: I always use the extreme RH lane - it's for trucks, is way wider and is always tag-enabled.

Mine is other way round so bar code faces inside cab but not convinced that is the problem. We found in Portugal didn’t always bip but we could go. (Fulli tag)
This trip in Italy, it opened barrier at start of section and bipped but would not work at exit

I use Bip & Go. Works well.

No need to cancel after 6 months - no charge for month that it isn't used.

We found that if we moved it down on the windscreen it worked! Must have been too high when it was just to the right of the rear view mirror as they suggested.

Funny thing happened to me on my last trip. My tag is where yours was.

Blasted south through France, Spain, Portugal - worked well. On the return journey it seemed not to work a few times, so I took it out and waved it around the windscreen. That worked.

Then realised I had to move very close to the barrier for it to work - I had timidly hung back near the place where you would swipe your card.

After that it was flawless.

If I use the 30km/h lanes that have higher sensitivity it works even better.

Brilliant, thank you. We’ll try that before we move the thingy.

I was thinking of Bip & Drive as I'm getting a bit long in the tooth to go driving over mountains to avoid paying tolls & my late wife is no longer available to hang out the window to work the machine.
But.....thought I'd check out the reviews, on Trustpilot 89% gave it 1 star with most of the reviewers calling them Thieves!
Is this the same company as Bip & Go??

I think not. Bip & Go is French, Bip & Drive Spanish. Not sure what the overall ownership structure is, but Bip & Go is part of Sanef.

Bip and Drive is the same as the Emovis tag. We have used both the French and Spanish/Portugese versions without problems and I'm not sure why others would call them "thieves" - unless of course the people doing that are the people who resent paying for anything . . . .

Take a look at the reviews on Trustpilot, I couldn't believe it, enough to put anyone off!

We use Fulli and has worked perfectly in Spain up to now. And yes, you do need to move closer to the barrier before it can read the tag and only use the lanes assigned.

Thanks. I try to avoid online reviews unless provided via something reasonably reliable like Which? That said, I took a quick look at Trustpilot and with an overall rating of 4 out of 5 for BipandGo, don't see a huge problem.

There are examples of operator error etc that are never the fault of the operator and always the fault of the supplier and examples of "I'll tell the world about my experience before I even try to sort this out through customer services" that to its credit BipandGo respond to patiently but with 72% of the reviews being in the 4 and 5 star bracket, it's good enough for me.
