Hello folks has anyone had a busbiker rack fitted to their panel van? Any cons?
It appears not to need towbar which to our thinking is better than one fitted on doors.
E bikes being heavy...thanks.

They are double the cost of our scooter rack made by Watling Engineers. Wonder if they do a hinged bike version. I'd give them a call 👍

Edit: Also known as Watling towbars

Yes i have a Busbiker rack it was fitted to my 64reg Adria Twin 640 and i have since fitted to my Sunliving v65sl The only con is the price and the delivery charge if you want it fitted in the UK. In 2014 I got a cheap return ferry and had a week in Holland and had it fitted at Buscampers . Best rack i've ever had I say go for it.

We have a Memo Vanstar. Similar to the Van Swing mentioned above but fits directly to the chassis rather than a tow bar mount.
Still quite pricey but cheaper than the Busbiker. We had some paint finish issues with ours but Memo replaced the affected parts.

The rack is excellent. Will carry up to 75kg and allows the door to open completely.

I wouldn't entertain a door mounted rack. And having spoken to Fiat they categorically say that any rear door related issues would not be warrantied if using a door mounted rack. Having said that many people use them without issue, but probably not for e Bikes.

We have a Busbiker fitted in Holland to our Globecar Campscout. Very happy with it and recommend though it is expensive. Also they only take cash.
We were told this before we went but OH didn’t believe it which resulted in us raiding all the accounts we had access to, to be able to get enough money out in one day 😂😂.

Thanks for reply, we have seen this rack too and agree wouldn't have one fitted to doors.

Looks like a trip to Holland then...with cash!!🙂 They're def pricey 1799 euro!! On latest advert...we're collecting a Malibu in March..have ordered towbar..but think that will just add to length znd cost.

We have a tow bar on the bike rack (it’s an optional extra) - you can’t use it with bikes on but it means we can move boats around when needed.
