Best time to buy Channel Tunnel tickets?

Going to France in June, Tunnel price £180 each way at present, is it better to buy tickets nearer the travelling time? Any advice appreciated.

We travel on it twice a year and in our experience the earlier you buy them the cheaper they are.

We buy the cheapest bog standard ticket and have changed our return a few times and only been charged the difference in price for the new day which has ranged from 0 to £30 extra.
