kontiki 6 berth
Exp
newbie
Hi all.
just bought a 1995 6 berth kontiki, its in pretty good shape bar a few damp patches to sort out.
firstly i want to cut out all the exterior seals and reseal everything as its looking a bit worn in places and non existant in others.
was wondering which sealant you guys would recommend, firstly for all the joints and also what is best to use for rebedding all the vents and skylights as i understand its best to use a different sealer than what i should use for the joints.
after i've sealed it and dried it out i will tackle the inside so will save them questions for when i fully know what i'm dealing with.
thanks for reading and any afdvice will be very much appreciated.
cheers

You could use ebt where it's not being exposed to sunlight. Much cheaper than the 521 UV.

Cheers James

thanks for the replies guys, its looking like i've got quite a big job on the old girl, found a bit of damp in a few spots so will be tearing her apart, so will need sealant plus wood, ply, epoxy, etc, etc. should keep me busy for a while.

Puraflex for the joints and Hodgsons seam seal CV for the roof lights.
