For us it is either Northumberland or North Cornwall. Northumberland has lots of deserted places. This includes the long beaches.

Scotland, Wales and the Durham and Yorkshire Dales. The Lakes (out of season), Peak District.

As the original question said "UK" I will also add NI but you can always go south into Eire.

Scotland for sure, I've just been North Berwich - Cairngorms - Helmsdale Harbour, tonights Dunnet Head Lighthouse then onto Orkney tomorrow! Don't care about the weather, been a mix of sun and drizzle at times, have shorts, coats, sandals and wellies :-)

One of the best trips we've done in the UK was Forest of Dean (Forests) to Brecon area ( Hills) and then down to the Gower (Coast).

Ticks all the boxes for us and the dog!!:giggle:(y)
