Been around the block a few times😉
I have a sliding glass section within a fixed window.
What is best to make it slide easily?

I would try silicon from a spray, if needs spray onto a cloth to apply.

Try to get a ptfe spray its very good
I just did some research on this. seems ptfe sprays use silicon as a carrier. ptfe on it's own is dry.

Not saying it isn't any good. But the only difference I could find so far was the temperature range is bigger for ptfe
Silicone vs PTFE -35 to 200ºC vs -20 to 250ºC

So unless you need +250°C for you van I think it is a wash which is better. Although if you go skiing then Silicone may be the better option as it looks like PTFE is only rated down to -20°C whereas silicone goes down to -35°C?

I have used silicone for 10+ years now and have found it to be excellent.

All sorted now this stuff really is good!
Spray on and wipe to give the channel’s a clean then repeated a few times and Bobs your uncle all works fine.
