Looking for advice on this, as per thread title....van conversion 2010 Citroen relay with ribbed roof....Advice , views looked for , ref the best fixings for solar panels on the ribbed roof ...eg the plastic corner feet , or aluminium angle etc ....TIA

There are many members with pvc's and solar fitted, so I would expect some one will chop in.
But probably angled brackets that may need to be different height.

I used plastic corner feet on my previous van (Ducato). I just bunged my panel it in the middle. This meant that the feet were bridging the channels which meant I got standing water under the solar panel. So if I were to do it again, I'd probably offset the panel slightly so the feet were predominantly on the top of a ridge and didn't completely block any channels.

I used angle strips for a longer connection along the rib and a short one in the middle to catch the curve and stop any flex, 4 years later no probs.

Made a roof rack out of metal attached to the proper fiat Ducato rack mounts, Don’t mount it on the stupid rails that some vans come with as they’re fixed through the roof with self tapers.
The panel sits 4” above the roof which helps keep it cool and acts as a spoiler as it’s mounted near the back.

Please could I just ask what size angle that is. Thanks. Just going down the solar route!
Hi, its 60mm x 40mm, with the 40mm stuck on the roof and the 60mm to lift the panel up to clear the centre of the roof as it has a slight curve in it.

Cheers Cris.
