I have a Bessacarr E425 2011. It has a Ducato 2.2 diesel engine.
I am considering upgrading to a new MH so last week I took it to a well known dealer in Perthshire. I spoke to the salesman and he came out and had a look round my MH and he verbally offered me a trade in price which was roughly what I was expecting. I asked him if he could do a bit of a discount on the new MH I was thinking about buying so he went off to see "the boss" to see what deal they could do.
Ten minutes later the salesman came back out and said he had bad news for me and he would not be able to offer me the trade in he first thought because my MH had the "smaller of the two engines" that were fitted to the E425. He reduced the original trade in offer by £5k because of this.
Any E425 I have ever seen has the Ducato 2.2 Diesel.
Is anyone aware of the two engine size options on the E425 ?

All are 2.2 engines but its the HP 130/150/180 that differs, not sure it makes a 5k difference though as an upgrade to the bigger HP is not that much....

I had a 2011 Bessacarr E450 with the 2.2 Fiat engine. It was rated at 100 bhp and 5 speed gearbox. It was adequate for the weight of motorhome. One advantage was it had a camchain not a belt and no dpf. Some were fitted with the 2.3 130bhp which had more torque and 6 speed box.
That in itself should not result in a £5000 reduction in PX.
