Hi All,

I have recently purchased a 597. Can anyone tell me what the inspection hatch in the floor near to the sink area does?There is a screw top possibly for waste water but I can see straight down to the road. Is there something missing?

I had an E480G and whilst a photo would be best from your brief description it is the access to the fresh water underslung tank.

That is the screw top which you have to undo to reach through to manually pull out the rubber bung to empty the tank.

The bung should be on a stainless steel chain so you don’t loose it but best to pull it out with the bung not the chain.

Its just to access the top of the ( fresh I think ) water tank. You can see to the road below in ours. I did tape some quilted insulation over our hole ( pardon the expression ) as it gets blooming cold.

Just to clarify.

Yes you can see the road possibly over the edge of the plastic tank but I took the hole the OP was referring to is the one directly below the screwed cap where the rubber tank bung fits to stop the water running out.

Like RogerS, and having a Bessecar 584, should be access to cold water tank.
