Hi, stayed at Ludham in Norfolk for three days this week. Went for a walk just outside the village around 10 am on a bright sunny morning and saw a pair of Barn Owls hunting. Made our day. Had camera with me but no tripod so grabbed what I could using a 28-300 zoom lens. Not great photos but better than nowt.

Just took a load of "grab" shots with the camera set on "Auto" in "sports" mode hence not sharp and not fully in focus but then I'm not that steady handed and the auto focus on my Sigma lens isn't as fast as my smaller Nikon. But have you seen the prices of long Nikons? :Eeek: had a quick look at a 600mm prime lens ...around £6000 :Eeek:

Ken, what a wonderful sight to see, I bet you were excited, they are sadly very much on the decline right now, but good to see a pair, I hope they breed.
