Bargain Clou for sale on ebay

I happen to know this vehicle and its a bit of a custom job mechanically. It has the engine out of a later 4 cylinder MAN so 220 hp mated to a 6 speed allison Auto. I also know the original owner who had it a good long time and lavished a lot of attention on it. Its a very well specced motor, well worth a look at that money.

Its been on a while that, I have been watching it. Im not quite sure of the price being a Bargain, its 20 years old next year.

That fridge in the cupboard with the door the wrong way around would drive me crazy.,
Shame of the colour choice for the interior too, curious about mpg for that engine

not just the engine. its 7.5t

Owners report 18mpg with the manual box and 15 with the Auto. So 1,000 miles at todays prices, will cost £500-£550.

My Two Mercedes V6 Diesels only Averaged 22 mpg. 5 Ton Manual and 4 ton Auto (5G-Tronic)

Nice van as you say Jon, I think we have both spent a few evenings in there, I always liked the interior colour and finish but that's just a personal thing I guess, I never realised that the fridge and it's cover door were opposite ways around but there again I was never allowed in there :ROFLMAO: 20 years old nearly? wouldn't bother me and 15mpg not much worse than a Daily chassis with a similar body on top, is it worth that money? yes I think so(y)

As a price comparison, Broken Link Removed

In the scheme of things, unless you re comparing VW's to RVs there are much bigger bills for motorhomes than the difference between MPG's

I agree about the door I've got the later fridge freezer and no separate door. I still lay you good money on a 20 year old Clouliner outclassing and outlasting most of the modern stuff.

I might be wrong but I don't think the fridge door is the wrong way around. If it opened the other way you'd be unable to open it fully as it would snag against the cupboard door.

They've obviously spent quite a bit of money on it over the years with the upgrades to the engine and 'box.

Is that a raised up dance floor between the cab seat's 😂🕺

I can see a palace liner peeping through the window though 🧐

Yes but watch your head😏 the rest of the time it’s just engine access though, Palace liner👍

I like, a few others have benefited from the owner’s hospitality in that van and it’s superb and the garage layout is thing to behold . The garage has more gadgets in it than most accessories shops .😂😂

Same here, simple solution though, just take off the outer door as it doesn't really serve much purpose other than making it 'look' streamlined.

My god that is far too pragmatic.

But gets my vote.

Then all the stuff in the compartments beside the fridge would fallout when travelling.

As loads of you seem to know the vehicle and it’s previous owner, is this the person selling or has the new owner after a short period decided to sell it on?

The seller is the previous owner and has a wealth of experience around MAN and trucks in general.

I think I may have confused things, The current owner who has had it several years is the one that has updated the engine and driveline. We also know the former ow ner who I think had it new was very fastidious and maintained it regardless of cost.

Do I need to swap my van??🤔😁😁😁

Fuel consumption is very subjective, How fast ? How hilly ?and the temp. affect it.
It returned between 20-25 regularly
For the Techys.......With 850 Nm from 1300 rpm from the engine its not difficult to see how.
The fridge door furniture is as came from the factory. Inc. the way the fridge itself swings.

There are Classic Motorhomes and this is definitely one, when you consider buying a MH of such standing and pedigree the cost need not be considered.

I like it, Id buy it just for the wheels😁😁
funflair knows what I mean!!😉👍
