Barclays bank Iban/bic codes ?

Where would I find the Iban & Swift (Bic) for Barclays bank ? & Would it be the same for all UK ?
Need to do a compensation claim for the wife & along with the usual numbers they want the Iban /swift(Bic) .
& no I don't have any paperwork here for the account & neither does the wife in UK .+She's in an area with dodgy mobile connections & also very bad internet .
Would ringing a branch get it ?

I think you would have to ring a branch, the number is unique to the account and they don't have them by default I think.

There is a generic 8 character SwitfBic code for Barclays in general and is extended to 11 characters to identify your branch. The IBAN code is specific to your account and could be worked out from your account code and branch if you know how, but far easier and safer to ring your bank.

SWIFTBIC identifies the bank. http://www.theswiftcodes.com/united-kingdom/page/2/

IBAN would be the WIFT plus your own account identification as it specific to your account, it would be on a statement.

You need both your account number and Bank Sort code to calculate the code. The sort code will be here if you don't have it to hand. http://findsortcodes.co.uk and the account number you probably have anyway.
