I’m a Newbie
Hi Guys
We bought a Hymer b774 a couple of years ago and sold it quite quickly to come to France. We have now bought a Hymer Exsis I 524 from a lovely French couple.

It doesn't have an alarm. He found it annoying so got rid of it. I am very concerned that we have the best security.
We leave for the UK in a few days and I want to get this sorted ASAP.

I would appreciate any recommendations on makes/types. Maybe advice on the priority of different types of security. I expect this has been discussed ad nauseum so if you could tell me where to find more information that would be great.

Many thanks

Thanks I’ll look him up
He’s a member of MHF and Vanbitz is advertised on here somewhere I tagged him so I expect he will reply tomorrow.😊👍

I would agree that Vanbitz has great products and I have had strikeback fitted to my vans for the past 15 years.
You get a funster discount if requested when you book.
But
Vanbitz are sought after so you may have to book ahead.

I am certain Vanbitz is booked up months ahead for installs

I always recommend that you make a priority of blocking the OBD port, as this is what thieves use to start vans without keys

Then add pedal locks like the ATE one, and a steering lock like the disklok

You can ring a local mobile arlarm company from where ever you are for a few days.
For insurance purposes you will need a Thatcham approved catergery 5 system.
My guy charged me £299 to come to my address and fit it.

Yes definitely going to look at getting an old blocker. Well I’m passing the info to OH. I’m exp him to sort it :)

Another one here for Vanbitz Growler and non starter, and comes std with a good nights sleep not worrying whether it will be where you left it👍👍

Another vote for Vanbitz growler and non starter here, they do occasionally get cancellations so it's worth ringing and asking.

To find out more, search for Motorhome Security/ Vanbitz in the "Reviews" section on the forum

Thanks for all the info guys 👍
We are in Bristol for a couple of weeks so hopefully we can get some of it done while we’re there ie the alarm fitted.
