I’ve been looking around looking for the solution for cold feet while driving.

Do I need woolly socks and the curtain closed - or is there a neater solution?

My 524's heater doesn't work on odd numbers  so setting 4 and pointing at the feet usually does the job.

What is the chassis and is it LHD or RHD & what type of aircon (climate control or standard)?

There was a thread a year or two back, with photos, where a new vent was added in the foot well but I cant find it.

Put a splitter in the heating hose you can get joints from scrap yard or plumbing merchant. Just needs a bit of ingenuity.

Chinese Diesel Air Heater

No chance!
The hab heater works great but I’m not at all sure about using it when driving...and if I was buying a forced air heater it would be a Planar - not a dodgy Chinese copy.

LHD should be OK it's the RHD drive people moan about as they put the footrest in front in the vent.
We have Climate control, because of the big glass area in bright sunshine in the winter the temp sensors think it's warm and turn the heating down. I have to set it to 30 to get my feet warm then you end up roasting.

I sometimes put the hab heating on while driving. Saves sitting shivering when you park up and turn the engine off. Saying that I doubt it would have much effect on your feet down in the foot well at the front of the cab.

I always thought that the "Planar" is a cheap Chinese copy of the Eberspacher!

Eberspacher good quality but expensive.
Webasto good quality less expensive.
Planer less expensive.
Chinese Diesel Air Heaters, I have an 8KW in My Motorhome and it's great. Cheap to buy. Parts are cheap to buy. Throw the heat out. Uses small amounts of diesel. Has a remote control as well. Great for defrosting the cab windows in the morning while you have your brekky.

Our Hymer has heater vent outlets on both the front and back of the cab seat bases.
