I anm trying to establish what make my awning is as it does not have a manufacturers label and not handbook or mention of the make in he Autotrail handbook Apache 634 2009
I need to resolve a problem whilst winding in or out the gearbox appears to jump a cog/tooth.
Advice appreciated, Guess it needs a new gearbox

Most likely fiamma or Thule.... my guess is fiamma.... but a picture would help..

You May find a makers label on the inside of the case where the legs usually are hinged .

It's definitely an Omnistor, probably before the Thule takeover. I think it may be a 5002.
Hillview Awnings in Dorset are the people to speak to. Very helpful.

Quick ID whether Fiamma or Thule/Omnistor: Thule/Omnistor legs use over-centre clamps whereas Fiamma uses screw Knobs.

Thank you everyone who responded.
I spoke to a helpful and knowledgeable lady at Hillview Awnings new gearbox £68 inc delivery excellent service.
As the awning is recessed into the sidewall it needed releasing from the wall to enable replacement of end cap and gearbox, qwhole job about an hour probably half that if had to do again!
The problem with the gearbox was that 3 consecutive teeth on the drive gears had bent over and were jumping over each other,I can only assume that I had caused this by trying to wind into far trying to get the rear end cover lock to engage.
Perhaps if the gears were made of steel rather the aluminium casting the would be more durable.
Lesson learnt

Had exactly the same issue with our Auto Trail, took it to Hillvew Awnings and they sorted it. This seems to be a common issue, well done for repairing it yourself.
