Just started!
It's the time of year for repairs & improvements.

Can someone inform me how this toggle is fixed into the leg? Both ours just fall out - Fiamma F45Plus.

Thanks :)

Mine was a push fit with a pop rivet. The problem was that the leg had been twisted and stretched the alloy, with use made a very weak floppy socket. I re-fitted and put in a self tapper and another to be sure both sides. Can't comment on how good it was as sold it shortly after

I think they should have small self tappers in the end.
I'm not going our to look bit I think ours are secured with self tapers if the leg is a poor fit and the metal looks OK then a little adjustment with a planishing hammer would do the trick

Thanks all, I knew there'd be a simple solution :)

I just came in from the van and can understand why Madcaravanner didn't want to go out and look - the wind picked up quickly and it hammered down!

It's been hammering on my West facing windows for most of the day and 2 or 3 times the raised beds have had standing water with the path between them under about an inch of water - -- - and it's still coming down sideways

The front end of the awning catches all the weather when driving and causes it to corrode, The corrosion stiffens the joint and eventually leads to fracture. The preventive measure is to fit a front cowel ahead of the awning that deflects the wind, rain and muck away from the joint. Available from the awning suppliers, Fiamma, Thule, Omnistor etc.
