Van Conversion
Hi I have an Auto Cruise Alto model with a Thule rollout awning fitted, it covers all of the roof fittings on one side, can I fit roof rails in some way as I would like to carry the Van levellers and my SUP up there.

Not sure about Thule but Fiamma used to do a roof mounted bracket that retained the use of the roof fixings.

Is it a coachbuilt or panel van?
Pvc

You need some sort of brackets either stock or custom.

Sometime like 50mm x6mm Alu plate to enable the awning to stand outboard of the roof rack mounting fixing.

Cheers James

Its a Fiat Ducato chassis and wheels I guess its therefore its a panle van fitted out by Swift as an Autocruise

Thanks James I’ll check with our local guy who makes such things, I assume the brackets need to be strong enough to take the awning weight.

Thanks Mitzimad I’ll check with Thule direct tomorrow, the pictures of Renee 2 are interesting and very useful thanks.

I recently fitted a solar panel alongside my awning on my ducato pvc using thule awning brackets and extruded aliminuim channel, I'm sure you could do something similar quite easily

Just wonder about the weight, the levellers are quite heavy compared to a solar panel.
