There's one in our wind out fiamma awning.
We made a sun shade net that slots into it

lots have them stainless steel self drilling screws and some adhesive

Yes as pic above, glued on takes awning and not going anywhere

We glued one on our previous coach built , worked a treat. Also put one underneath at bottom so we could put an awning skirt on if we wanted. No screws just sikaflex and it withstood all weathers.
