looking to buy
Hi I’m looking to see if you guys can help me. Been looking round loads of Motorhomes and finally decided we need the really big ones. Family of 5 and dog.
Could anyone help me with pros and cons of the Autotrail Cheyenne 6 berth vs Burstner Argos 747 2.

thanks in advance

Do you have C1 on your licence….?

i.e. can you drive a ‘van over 3500kg…?

It’s the layout mostly plus the Argos has a mass of storage for extra leisure batteries and larger water tank so can setup so we aren’t restricted to plugging in all the time

Not having owned either ‘van, my guess is that the Burstner Argos will be the better-constructed - Autotrails do not always have the best of reliability when it comes to water ingress, as some Funsters will testify, although others will disagree! Are they a similar price for the year/mileage, or is there a wide variation?

Argos is £9000 higher in price and 5 years newer. So the Argos has the more updated specs obviously. However like cars is that just more to go wrong

Not necessarily - it depends upon how the vehicle has been looked-after and used as well. Do both ‘vans have full service history, hab. checks, MOTs, etc with any advisories or failures, and, if through a dealer, do they give any form of warranty……?
I have no doubt that other Funsters will be able to offer much better ’van-specific advice than I can, having not owned either type - we travel as a couple with our four dogs, so don’t need a very large van (just a fixed-bed!) ;)
