Autosleeper step fault.

Hi Can anyone help we have just started our tour of Scotland and our electric step has decided not to work.It comes out about 2 inches and goes back. It’s a Autosleeper Burford 18 reg. Any ideas?

If it was my van I would give it a pull and see what happens it may just be full of dirt at the cog
