Bought and fitted a set of footplate covers to the auto levelling today. They increase the surface area considerably which is particularly useful on softer ground.

I bought a set of these whilst in Germany collecting the new van, they add a few inches onto the height and very easy to fit. You basically sit them under the ram then lower the ram down onto them and they snap onto the foot of the ram, no way are they coming back off easily. They appear a bit more rugged than the ones being offered by Dometic, these are constructed from old tyres so sit better on uneven surfaces. You need the 9" ones for the E&P rams

Bloody hell, the 4 pads together weigh 9Kg. :Eeek:
Thats a few days dieting :) If you have a vehicle with levelling whats a few kilo's between friends :)

I was thinking about making some out of polymorph, I made a number of jacking points for the Touarge which have been invaluable. If anyone has not played with this then do take a look. I just need to make some moulds.

Won’t they melt with a bit of sun on the pads! 🤣

I’m of course joking, love polymorph. 👌

Its an amazing material, joking aside its like 62 degrees melting point so no levelling in the Sahara :)

I love the stuff. But I don't think it is suitable for this purpose. Would cost a fortune.

I would look for HDPE sheet on ebay... High Density Polyethylene is extremely tough and dirt cheap.

As you have already spotted I got them from Mees in Holland 128 Euros including delivery. Somewhat cheaper than E&P.

I’ve just fitted a set today and also obtained them from Mees in Holland. Price hasn’t increased by much as they were €133 including delivery (£114.10 on the Halifax Clarity card) and no vat payable on import

Have you got a link for Mees please?

I simply carry 4 squares of 11mm thick osb board and lower the plates onto them. Our van sits on them on our concrete driveway during the winter when it's not in use and has done for 5 years. Cost me nothing and does the job ever bit as well(y)
