So tunnel booked over on Tuesday 22nd late afternoon then Wednesday hop to Reil arriving late afternoon

Never been to Germany with MH been all over Europe on the motorbike for last 25 years and was by the Mosel a few weeks back on bike but as always just blasting through.

So as a newbie to Stellplatz arrival and set up etc what to do what not to do any advice would be appreciated

Unless changed due to covid, at Reil, drive in, pick your spot handbrake on kettle on.
We missed the slip road off the end of bridge and had to turn around in the town. So if you approach from over the bridge, turn immediately left onto slip road and then turn back under the bridge to the stell platz.

If I cant get EHU although I will be carrying 2 leads how un popular would I be if I ran a very quiet generator for a few hours some days

Well tucked away you cant hear it that much its very quiet so if someone run one next to me for a bit no issue
That said I would and am very considerate to others

Hopefully if the sun is out then I won't need it

If the sun is in or its raining no one will be out so I would run it

Most stellplatz in Germany are just pick your own spot. At Reil, someone comes around to collect money, at many others there is a machine. Be aware that lots of coins needed as we didn’t find ones that took contactless credit cards. I got into rhe habit of paying for everything in shops, drinks icecream etc, with large notes and then always saving the change in a pot in the van.

You may find this thread of interest, a few of us going out there over the next few days, loads of useless information on there
