Hi guys
Just looking for help as planing a week in arran
Is there enough to keep us busy for a week as never been before will check out the tourist info of course but first hand info would be welcome
We are 2 over 60,s like cycle walking and generally sightseeing and what not
Thanks in advance
Also motorhome is elddis encore 250 don’t mind occasionally being of grid

We haven't been to Arran in some years but I dont think I could spend a week there. Some of the island is pretty hilly for cycling unless you have electric bikes. Lovely scenery though. If you like cycling I would suggest a few days at Millport, Isle Of Cumbrae, 10.5 miles around in almost flat road and a new aire there too, but again its not a place to spend a week for me either.

Likewise, it's a while since I've been to Arran but have been for week-long visits. As well as the walking, there's the brewery and distillery to visit so there's a couple of days at least. And trip over to Holy Island is well worth it. The public transport used to be good so one can get round the island without having to move the motorhome.

Thoroughly recommended.

It’s a frequent long weekend trip for folk around Ayrshire. Why not do 3/4 nights Arran 1/2 nights Cumbrae as irnbru suggested or even hop off Arran in one of the ferries on the other side - can you get to Campbeltown and Gigha? Worth a Google.

Have a look just north of Blackwaterfoot (western side), where the narrow coast road runs out there is a golf club and part of the parking area, the unmade bit by the sea used to be ok for an overnight stop
Great beach walking north(ish) round the headland to the Kings Caves
Its a lovely island
Whether it’s for a few days or a week really depends on your pace of life
Oh, and Arran Malt is pretty good too

Thanks all
was thinking now 2 days cumbrae 3/4 days arran and couple days each way to get there
thanks for the info 🤞

Went over there the end of may for five nights . Stayed at https://www.bridgendcampsitearran.com/
Small site , Bus stop near, Strange if you wanted to use shower/toilets £3 per person per day  .
Never used there's got my own. Nice small site though & i would go back
There are a few wild camping spots on the island, Seen at least 3 sites to empty black waste & take on water for a donation.
There is a lot of walks & cycle tracks . Some of the roads can be fun to say the least.
The scenery is great. There are a few castles & ruins to see plus other things to do
As said can be a bit hilly in places for bikes but did see a lot of them
There a lot fitter than me..
