We have said goodbye to Italy and are me on another acsi site , we are not in it anymore but still have a 2015 book and it is much the same price, we are now in sainte maxime , probably st tropas tomorrow, Julie likes France with living here for a while and speaking the lingo but I liked Italy especially the little village we stayed in this last couple of nights, strange people all rush and bustle but if you can pin them down they will talk all day, in the butcher's shop in the village they have a row of chairs where everyone sits discussing the day and buying meat comes secondary.

I was staying in a village above Lake Garda last summer.
The locals were a bit off until they realised we were British and not German.
The change in attitude was huge to the extent that the local bar owner didn't want paying for the last four rounds of drinks the night we were leaving. He was a lovely old boy so we left the money ( and a bit more) on the table when we left.
