When I got my previous little 5.4m van, it came with a can of Fiat tyre goop, but it was well past the expiry date. I was planning to do a lot of driving around Europe and payload wasn't an issue, so I fitted a spare wheel carrier and dumped the goop. Thankfully I never got a puncture anyway.

Now I've got the new van, I'm without a spare wheel again, but at least this time the tyre goop isn't out of date. I think it's likely that I'll fit an underslung LPG tank so I can gain a locker, but there's so little space underneath the van that the tank will probably end up where the spare wheel would go... which got me thinking...

Has anyone here ever had a puncture and the can of tyre goop has got them to the garage?

I had it in each set of tyres over a period of 12 years.
Always felt piece of mind. And don't know if I ever had a puncture.
To highlight A few points you already know....
If properly injected into the tyre there are no balancing issues.
It is not a problem when it comes to tyre renewal.
It's easy to self apply.
Nothing will stop sidewall damage.
