Van conversion
We need a stopover after the Tunnel on Tues. Thinking about Boulogne Auchan but we don't know it at all. We used to use Neufchatel but getting out could be difficult as machine seemed temperamental. Has anyone used it recently?
thanks
Violet

we had no issues several weeks ago. but it we had the last space at 2pm........

We've used the campsite next door, having pre-booked, and I'm glad we did. The aire looked very good but was full by the time we got there.

Thanks for this info. We would be there fairly late and the campsite will be closed for the season. We did like the aire and hopefully the machine issues are sorted.

Marpool gave details as I posted! Thanks

There is tolerated parking at Leulinghen-Berne, about 18 Kms/20 mins from Channel Tunnel. It's a large car park behind the tennis courts & in front of the village hall/school. No services but there are recycling & rubbish bins. Quiet overnight, cars arriving dropping children off from just after 8 am

if you go onto you tube and type in keith davis, there you will find several videos of aires he has used. if you scroll down to oct 15 you can watch the one for Mesnieres-en-bray.

Hi, We last used the Neufchatel Aire on the 4th December and we use it 4 times a year. In all the time we have been using it we have never had a problem with the ticket machine.

We have just pitched up at this Aire at 1500 local time on a Sunday.
Two other van's here, both Brits, when we arrived. 4th van just arrived as I type.

Note the bottom 6 pitches are taped off and are in the process of being resurfaced with proper pavement edges and hardcore that suggest either tarmac, to match the existing driveways, or concrete pitches in the future?

I thought the entrance was a bit tight with my 8m van.

Getting in with my 8.4m van was doable (if tight) but If the pitch opposite the one I was going on wasn’t empty, I’d have been snookered!

Doesn’t the sign actually say only for vans under 8m? Fair enough if you got in ok, but not sure you can complain if access was a bit tight!

Not complaining, simply confirming bigtree ’s experience and pointing out that the issue wasn’t the entrance but manoeuvring onto the pitch.

For the record, it was the site owner who advised that I should go on the aire.

Is that the Neufchâtel en bray? If it’s the same one, we were there a few years ago and I think they were putting a shower in?
We loved it there and will visit again if over that way.
