Just started!
As you can see from the picture below, this controller is well used over the years, the legend has disappeared and there's a small hole in it!

Just wondering what product it is and whether I'd be able to get another?

Thanks

Looks like Timberland used to use them.

Thanks Richard. We're considering a 2000 Lunar Roadster 720 advertised at £19,995, Viewed twice and driven once :) Very well equipped with satellite TV system etc. Whether the price is good for a 20 year old van, I have very little experience!

I took loads of pictures and was just reviewing them when I noticed the broken controller panel.

Any comments especially on price would be appreciated.

Cheers

Looks like a nice van just from the photos, modern inside. Prices are a bit mad at the moment, might have been 4-5k less a year or so ago but is probably about average now. Lots of people saying their vans are worth more than they paid for them a couple of years ago. Not a lot of Mot left so a consideration?

My goodness...carpet in the toilet how very decadent! And gold shower taps as well!!
From the pictures anyway it looks like a lovely, well cared for van. You certainly wont find bathroom facilities that big on modern vans for a start. Just do your due diligence before parting with any money. Consider contacting the owner to ask about getting a hab check done, run the plate for recent MOT history etc etc

If it needs a new control panel I would want a good few quid off the asking price.

If you look at the 12 v distribution unit that should be the same make as the panel.
20k for 20 year old Lunar seems an awfel lot.
Build quality varies a lot quality on some built in the UK, some by Homecar in Belgium they went bump.
Check very carefully for damp they haven't got the nickname Leaky Lunar without reason.

Yes, the sale is private and present owners have done much travelling in Europe and recently returned from Scotland - I'm told everything went perfectly. The van is clean but, if it had been mine, I would have presented it in a much more appealing manor :)

Bathroom is huge and I might be tempted to replace the carpet if SWMBO complains :) :)

Having parted (a few years ago) with our Burstner 748-2 we were spoiled for space!

MOT'd to November and MOT history was okay - sum rust that needed to be rectified, I guess expected on a 2 year van!

I love pottering so will make many improvements.

I've checked visually for damp and with a cheap damp detector.

Thanks for the comments :)

Our first van was a 2004 Lunar Roadstar 720 and really enjoyed it.
It was written off in floods in Spain in Dec 2016 so I always prick my ears up when I hear of one for sale. I know without doubt that that van was repatriated to the UK and the salvage sold at winsford in Feb 2017. The buyer repaired the van and put it back on the road.
Looking at the image on your Original Post, it does NOT look like ours!!
Regarding value.. Ours, a 2004 model, was advertised in a private sale at £21,500 in Sept 2014. We got it for £20,000 and the insurance paid out a little more than that in Feb 2017.

I don't remember the control panel but I remembered the name CMS2000 when I saw it on rb62 post #8 above.

Image of our van is shown below...

Good Luck

Edit...
At the risk of being pedantic, you will get more results if you look at Lunar Roadstar (y)
