Hi there, I'm just wondering if anyone is using these batteries and what their experience is or has been. Price seems almost too good which probably means......

Amazon product ASIN B082NZWQDN
Thanks in advance,

Sean

That amazon listing from that supplier doesnt appear to show a warranty period , however on their e bay listings these lithium batteries have a 1 year warranty . There are other companies giving 4 , 5 , 6 even 10 year warranties on lithium batteries , for not much more cost than these ones .

I know that Funsters Tinker2, Raul, ManTheVan, the1andonly and Swifter are using Ultramax LiFePo4 batteries.
Not heard any complaints from any of them.

They look like they are exactly the same. Probably importing them from the same factory.

Personally I'd like to see some info about the BMS. What currents can it supply and absorb? Does it have a high and low temperature cut-off?

I've got 2 Sterling Lifpo's 100amp. They have been excellent and have a 5 year warranty.

I don’t know what Baruch and ultramax got in common. I have 400ah ultramax, very happy.
The ultramax is imported by batterymaster uk, not that poxy vendor. I got mine from Cameraexperts based on Edmonton north London. Next day delivery. My 200ah came with a 20a charger that I have used for the initial charging. Nothing wrong with it, it does exactly what a LiFePo4 chargers suppose to do. Second 200ah came with a 10a charger that I don’t use. I did not buy for the charger anyways. Besides the 430 price is without the charger, the 470 is with the charger. I didn’t had a choice to purchase without charger. Conside yourself lucky to get a 100ah for 430. Nothing wrong with those batteries.
PS, there is one small think to consider; they don’t have cold temperature charging protection, I expected that, you need a charger that can be set to stop charging below 0 degrees, like victron. I set mine at 4degC.

Thanks Raul,
Their website recommends Baruch for trade buyers and Batterymasters for own use

As I said, I got mine from Cameraexperts in 2019. I use a 2kva inverter of them, and pretty much all electric 8months of the year. Electric cooking, hot water, power tools etc; the batteries have behaved better than expected. I’m not the only user of ultramax.

I had 114A draw of the 200ah version, and 80A charge. I added another 200ah two weeks later. The cold temperature charge cut of did not work for me. I have protection built into the charger for that reason, not to charge below 4degC. I think the bms for the 200ah battery is 120A. The 100ah I don’t know as never considered it. I wanted larger capacity so I don’t have to cycle to deep, or charge to high, and keep the rate reasonable under 0.3C for prolonged loads.

Well, Two on Tour has researched diligently! Yes, I installed a 110Ah Ultramax and we’ve been delighted with it. It hasn’t missed a beat and we’ve not had to use EHU ever since.

To be honest, I was worried about taking the plunge, but the battery is well-made and hasn’t let us down, so I’d recommend it to anyone.

Another Cameraexperts customer 100Ah with BT BMS. No problems to date. Sometimes it does feel the bms SOC is slow to catch up with being charged. Only got a 10A charger but works a treat (edit only used twice). Not used EHU since getting it (apart from getting fridge ready at home and checking out my changeover switch) now can use rear socket on ehu or inverter (not actualy used it on ehu).

I was looking at these batteries too, these videos helped me hope they help other ppl

Why don't these video makers either mount their cameras or get someone else to film them? I am fed up with looking at You tube videos where the presenter is trying to do things one-handed because he is holding the camera with the other hand, and the camrea is waving all over the place.
