My watering can is on wheels. I take that to the tap and fill it right up. Don't have to bother again for a week. Just an idea?
Oh never thought about that will get dh to check it out, he has mobility problems to and i have weight lifting restrictions thank youWe’ve used pretty much all options. Watering can, back and too with 5 litre water containers after having filled up initially. The best option we’ve got now is an eBay pump, with a water hog thing, given from a friend. Ended up costing very little, 12v extension cable, two 1 mtr hoses and the pump, under £25. What a pleasure to use!!!! I have mobility issues so when on my owMy advice would be think forward, is the flitting back and too with a watering can going to be acceptable in a few years time and found it really hard to carry 5 litre water containers numerous times. I can now just wheel the water hog thing then fill up. 40litres so just needed every few days. Good for filling up washing machine too. . Moving van for us isn’t an option once on site. I think we will have a hose, and will just get a cheap watering can for now.my brain is turning to mush, my DS says I over think stuff and I like to think it is being organised, i am guessing the only way to know is to put it to the test, that will happen next week our first trip.Although I have a watering can, mostly I fill up with a short hose around 2m. My water tank will last 4-5 days with showers and so the watering can is only used if staying in one place for longer.
I would say not as there are other cheaper options. We always stay on sites for normally between two and four nights unless it is Keswick where you have to stay a min 5 nights during the summer (no problem there though it is great). This means we have to fill when parked up. I have used many different ways of topping up e.g. ASDA 2L & 5L water containers after drinking the water lol, 10L watering can, 25ft flexible hose. This season I have started using the whale pump that was supplied with the MoHo, dump it in the full watering can and it empties it in under a minute. So, yesterday, I bought a 25L water container which will now replace the watering can; so much easier to top up I have also bought a 100ft flexible hose because during our last outing (13 nights) I just reached the water tap on one site and was about 10ft short on another so I now think I have enough options to easily top up when on site. My fresh water tank holds 130L and we use about 40L/day; a couple of trips using the 25L and all is good. If we are close enough to a water tap then I will use the hose and refill after a few days. Good luckare the worth it £35. 00 a lot of money if not
