Sites near ski resorts in Austria?Or any other recommendations please.

A lot of stellplatz are open all year, have a look at the locations- Tyrol is good, also look at the Dolomites on the Italian side, some nice little stellplatz around Cortina, not always on the apps, you have to watch for the signs as you go through villages.
Winter tyres are a legal requirement from Oct-April in the region and snow chains must also be carried- there are signs on roads that carry the restriction.
The Fiat based MHs come with all season tyres as standard ( here in Germany anyway), but real winter tyres do make a difference if you come here out of season.
You need to look out for road closures, the snow hangs around late and some mountain roads can still have snow into May
