Thinking about replacing the x2 95 ah batteries that came with our Hymer Grand Canyon (6 months old) with lithium, question is do the old batteries have any value?
Many thanks.

yeah, stick em in the classified section here

Someone will buy them at a decent price, or last resort £12 to £15 each at the scrapie.

Worth £10 each for scrap, so that's a starting point.
Edit see Lenny HB beat me to it

Could be interested but whereabouts are you.

If Mikeco doesn't take them and they're cheap enough, I might be interested to use for a garden lighting set up ...

I would be interested too, if they were gels

I was lucky. Went to a customer who was creating a stack of batteries to put in a skip, I told them you aren't allowed to, they ranted, and I kindly offered to dispose of them to be helpful. 🤫🤫🤫🤗🤗🤗

I can't believe the about of batteries that are down at the local community tip, especially as the scrapie is almost opposite the tip

Thanks Guy's
Just need to find a decent installer around the Cambridge area.
If anyone has any recommendations I would be greatful.
Would it be a case of straight replacement or would I need to up grade system?
Presently have Schaudt charger LAS 1218s
Electro lock EBL 30 and a Booster WA121545, connected to 200w of solar.

what amps is the lithium you are putting in.

The B2b that you have should be ok but your Schaudt charger is just 18amps and I dont think it is multi stage, so maybe think of changing that depending on how many ah your lithium is.
It could be a staright drop in relacement dep on the size.

Not sure on size, but the present x2 95 ah batteries in none summer months only last 2 days with compressor fridge and diesel heating.
Really want to be able to off grid for 5 days plus, thinking 2 X 100ah lithium?

Wow! I'm thinking of selling my truck and getting a extra long wheelbase Boxer/Ducato/Relay to convert, running diesel heating and a compressor fridge.
Guess I'm back to a 3 way fridge if 2 days is 'doing' the batteries in winter months, I'm still going with a diesel heater though.

Thanks Guy's

The EBL with Ls1218 gives you 36 amp charge rate but the EBL30 on Gel setting charges to 14.4v with a 16 hour absorption phase, on AGM it charges to 14.7v with 4 hour absorption phase. I would talk to the Lithium manufacter (not the supplier) to make sure if it is suitable.

The WA121545 should be fine but you may need to add the temperature sensor.
