Afternoon all, have asked for some assistance before but maybe need to be more specific.

Off to Dublin in September to see Garth Brooks in concert, plans are to stay in an around Dublin for 2-3 days and so visit some other places. We have had some advice from the forum but it seems planning a stay in Ireland even on some web sites we were advised is not so straight forward.

We’ve had a 35ft RV for 18 years and we know the pit falls about parking, but as we travel 6-8 months a year it suits us perfect.

Anyone out there with a bigger unit who may have visited the place that could give some advice. Unfortunately the only three pieces of advice we have been given is stay as little as possible away from Dublin due to parking, space and prices, so it might be that we simply park for the concert and then head out the same night, although to arrive early and see what we find is not ideal. The second advice was to fly into Dublin airport, book a cheap hotel and fly out a day or so later, this due to the country not being favorable to RV’s. Unfortunately issues there are due to the volume of guests in Dublin prices and availability is a none starter. Thirdly we did get a link to the Camac Valley site but several have advised against it, anyone been there recently.

Having never toured there I can not comment, but looking online it does look like a difficult plan.

Take a look at the Motorhome Ireland parking app. Free but a paid option at £1.99 gives you more info.
A few pubs within striking distance of Dublin with ample parking for your RV and most serve great food

There is a campsite about 1 mile west of Dublin can. Take any size and a bus stop outside will take you into town, they run every 20 mins. Just cant remember the name will find and post it.

Thanks very much, think with so many people at the concerts we need to get something booked well in advance.

Thanks, the park and ride is a good option and never thought of it.
