Another game of what’s this wire - wheel arch edition.

I noticed this wire hanging loose from the drivers front wheel well. Anyone know what it is and where is should be plugged into?

Its an optional extra on Ducatos. I had two different ones on my 2012 model. Just curl it up and tuck it out the way somewhere - it's not needed. It could be for a brake pad wear types.

I could be wrong (probably as usual!) but I think it looks like the plug that's connected to our daytime running lights.
What year is your van as I think the wiring loom was in place before they became mandatory.

it looks very like the brake pad wear detector circuit plugs into brake pad.

As above.
Probably had none genuine pads fitted without the wear indicator.
Single wire so if earthed the dash warning light should illuminate.

Thank for the reply! It’s a 2013 Peugeot Boxer.

Ours is a 2013 FIAT Ducato with DRLs fitted.
Crawled under the front this morning and took a couple of photos (not the best given tight space) of ours.
Wasn't able to disconnected the plug \ socket but may give you an idea of what ours looks like.

The sleeved red \ black (heading downwards) are attached to the DRL unit. The other end heads up into the engine compartment.

The fact that it runs down next to the brake pipe makes me presume its a break pad sensor wire
