Fellow Funsters. :)

As per the title, we are looking for Eurotunnel Frequent Traveller partners, but unfortunately, not travelling until very early January. We would be looking for 4 x single crossings, if someone else could use 6 x single crossings, as a minimum of 10 x must be purchased to qualify.

If anyone is interested in partnering up around Christmas time, (or slightly earlier), please give us a shout. :)

Cheers for now,

Jock. :)

Hi Jock. My daughter has just bought a static on the same site as us in France, so she may be up for it. I will ask her when she wakes up !!

PS i spent a week at Littlehampton a couple of weeks ago, facilities are brilliant, really helped with my recovery from knee replacement. Im going back again at the end of September for further physio

Not been myself Dave, but did 2 x sessions up at Penrith. Excellent facilities and treatment. (y)
Glad to hear that you are on the mend. :)

Chat later hopefully,

Jock. :)

Sorry for late reply. She cant make her mind up, so i would count that as a no !! Hopefully someone else will be along soon to take you up on your offer.

Best wishes

No problem Dave, but thanks for letting me know. :)

I would probably take you up on the offer Jock but we will need our first crossing in September.
That would mean you losing 3-4 months use.
There are always folk wanting to share so you have loads of time yet.

Richard

Not yet a firm plan but getting close!
Crossing late November
Would be interested in 6
I need to wait for more info re the dog and new rules etc before we book and for daughter to finalise Easter
skiing which should happen next week
But that would suit you wouldn’t it?

Hi Francine, can you give us a shout please, as soon as you know for certain re the new dog rules, and your daughter's Easter timings? We would be interested in 4 x crossings, but won't be travelling until January. A November set up of the account suits us. (y)

Thanks,

Jock. :)

Bump...................................as still looking to partner up with a fellow Funster. :)

Cheers,

Jock & Rita. :)

I could use 4 not sure about 6! What sort of cost are you looking at each way, think I paid about £110 each way last year and £89 the year before for July / Aug, the only issue are the blocked dates which you have to work around and if the saving is just a few quid is it worth it, could not see prices to work it out.

It works out at £46 per crossing, plus a supplement of £12 for a Motorhome, when you make the booking. You are expected to travel during off peak times (very flexible though), however, you can choose to travel on a peak crossing, and pay the difference, just as you might if you turned up for a crossing earlier than your booked one.

If neither of us wanted 6 x crossings, it would still be viable to buy 5 x crossings each.

Have a read of the links please, to see what you think. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

Interesting, we live an hour from the tunnel so could use two for weekends, but that would be just to use them as we spend most weekends on our boat. It’s the summer 6 weeks we always use so will check the possible dates to see if they are suitable for the times we go, just trying to help you ?

May well be interested as we were planning to go to friends in France for January.
Lose of dog then acquiring a new dog has upset our plans a little but if passport for dog remains the same we will want to travel end of December.
Keep is in mind but don’t rule out someone else as we aren’t certain-all down to blo.....dy Brxt!

Thanks, but please don't sign up to the FT, if it doesn't fully suit your travel needs, as the pr-purchased crossings are non transferable to A.N Other. :(

Thanks. That's the main reason we aren't going for more than 3 x months this time round.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

If things change & we need a Titre test it will be 4 months in all as our new mutt hasn’t had a Rabies jab yet, She’s had more than enough to go thru with chipping, vaccinations and neutering and a total change of lifestyle & new people.
If things stay with just the Jab and a passport we will definitely be interested.

Rita and I now have a committed FT Partner, whose travel requirements match those of ours. :)

Thanks to all who showed an interest and offered suggestions. :) We hope that those still looking can find a suitable FT partner for their 2020 travels across the water. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I am looking for another partner this year but am hanging on waiting to find out about EHIC card, I no longer qualify for the Travel insurance on my bank card as I am a certain age soon. I will be off to Spain or Portugal about Christmas to save on presents for the multitude of her kids and their prodiginy ,ad nausium.
Living 6 miles from the tunnel is OK as the UK involves horrid motorway to get away from here.
