Annoying whistle wind noise hymer B675sl? (1 Viewer)

Hi just purchased B675SL 2007.
Very happy with it so far but when on our first trip away this weekend we have a annoying wind noise whistle from the passenger side when we go over 45mph. I’ve tried altering wing mirror position but nothing. Anyone else had this with this style of van ? I’m pretty sure it shouldn’t make this noise as no one would buy it from new etc.

We have a 2007 B654 SL, so you will have the same mirrors. The noise is from the wind passing through the hole/slot at the top near the bolt. I put some clear tape (helicopter, or similar) on both sides of the hole. We are LHD and the noise was on the drivers side (passenger side if RHD), but I put the tape on both mirrors. Had the van since 2010 and had the tape on since then, renewed as necessary - easy to know when it needs replacing as the noise re-appears!

If it's not the mirror has it got the alloy channel for silver screens fitted as that can cause a similar noise but not normally that loud.

Have taken a photo, as requested. Hopefully, it will attach okay as haven’t posted a picture before. In taking the photo I noticed that I only have the tape on the outside only. I had originally put it also on other side but not easy to apply, so when replacing I left the inside off - no noise with this arrangement.

Have you tried gagging your passenger? it may be a nervous whistle at high speed.
