Annoying Showcase Number,missing Photos !

I've never really liked change however I'm coming round to the newish style of the forum
The one thing that annoys me is that when I log on there's the annoying little number that sits by the showcase icon ,this leads me to random photos of other members.
I remember the day when the grass was greener and I had my own profile page ,where I had an ALBUM where I stored and downloaded MY photos.
I realise things move on ,however my photos are like an illegal immigrant !
They were registered but have bloody disappeared !
Where are they ?
Please put the album back on the profile page !

Thanks but I don't know I'm a technophobe and can't bloody find them!
.It was much nicer when they were in an ALBUM on my profile page.
I thought showcase was a cinema,why complicate things ,why not keep it simple.

Next month will see the anniversary of the new software. We've had it installed 11 months now. Glad you're coming round to it , I know that its a steep learning curve, but it is 100 times better than the software we left behind.

Where did you install your pictures as I have no record of you ever uploading any. If you refer to the profile photos on the old system, they did not make it over, but we did give people a months notice to back them up.

The grass is more green here If you had an album it would show on your profiles in a number of places.

Don't know about profile pictures ,all I can remember is that they were in the album section of the old forum.
I was hoping they may be out there somewhere as the old computer they were on is kaput and it had some pictures that I loved..

depending on why your old computer is kaput, it may be possible to rescue files from it. What caused it to become kaput?

hmmmmmmmmmm. Well, depending on which bit actually died, there is the chance the hard disk could be taken out and connected to another computer long enough to rescue the files. Unfortunately you are a bit far from me for me to nip round and have a go. Do you have any local friends with some PC knowledge who could help?
