We are making the change to 'sea voyages' instead of 'land voyages'. Just had a yacht surveyed, deposit paid, take delivery next week ....... (y)(y)

Now to sort out the sale of the van, move all the clobber out etc, try to remember how to sail ........ and then we're off!

As I am paid up till next May you won't see the back of me too soon. I'll keep posting just to get my monies worth haha :D

Watch this space ....... ;)

We debated MH or boat. MH won on the grounds of unlimited places we can get to. And less of a money pit.

But some of the best holidays we have had have been on water. Flotilla sailing in Greece being the best all time family holiday.

Don't leave us, Jim's planning on a Yachting Fun website. :)

But seriously, keep posting about your voyages. We may be able to visit the same places - but from the landward side. :)

What are you plans? The Med, Carribean or the Solent? :) I used to love sailing (got up to Day Skipper) but ultimately I'm too prone to sea sickness. :(

Goid luck with the change of adventures!
Robs brothers both had 40 foot+ yachts and sailed to the med. the oldest bro has retired as it is a young mans sport!
Enjoy and I’m sure we will see you back in a MH in a few years time!!

Can you make bread on board!!!??
Can we still see phooning on the yacht?!

Air, land and now sea..... what’s your next one going to be....?

Enjoy every minute. Life is too short not to have a go.

We have inflatable sailing catamarans bought after seeing the one Neilfg has (he has the Puma and we bought the Cougar variant). The only sailing we have done is using a golf umbrella as a sail with a ruddered kayak (great fun and fast!) so we'll be taking lessons. Luckily when at Lochore Meet we were able to talk with the instructor there and she has agreed to some private tuition. Nothing like the boat you will have but still fun :)

Wow, thank you everyone for your replies and thoughts (y) I will post a few piccies once the 'deal is done'. The plan will be local sailing (Dorset, Cornwall, Brittany, Scilies and West Ireland for this season then (maybe) overwinter in the Canaries. Next year probably Iceland then Transatlantic crossing Dec 2020 ................ So many choices!, and all the time to do it! (might as well get some benefit from this retirement lark)

Were trying to do the sailing stuff (again) before we get too old or weak o_O

Martin has asked if you realise the MPG is crap and lots of sites (CMC and CCC) won't allow you on.

Congrats on your acquisition. We sailed out of Kip Marina when the kids were younger for a number of years. Best holidays ever but hopefully soon to be surpassed by the new adventures in a Moho!

Are you changing your name to ‘anchorsaway ?

It doesn't have a 'pop-top'! :giggle:

What a beauty. Congratulations on your swap from moho to yoho! We’ve sailed (but never in the UK). Any sailing that includes one of those Gill Jackets with the yellow hoods is not for me - but good on you for moving on to another adventure! (y)

Good luck in your new adventures. She looks wonderful but a scarey thought to cross the Atlantic!
