Going over to Holland in September, has anyone got any views on the best place to stop for a couple of nights to visit the city. Would like easy -ish access to city. Thanks in advance

Gouda. Better than Amsterdam and serviced motorhome parking in the city centre.

Camping Zeeburg. There aren't that many other options. It's a pretty good site. Easy access to trams into the centre. Or you can cycle if you're REALLY confident.
Second that. Tram stop very close to the entrance.

There used to be an Aire right across the water behind the station, and it included a free ferry across to the station, very secure staff on the gate and reasonable price, but I think it may have closed, if it hasn't I can thoughly recommend it.

Thanks for the advice, have booked a couple of nights at camping zeeburg

Its since been made into a housing estate!

I would also recommend giethorn,Utrecht and Leiden. All different all got canals, and for me more relaxed than Amsterdam. But I would recommend Amsterdam as well just to say you have been.

I did see on park4night where someone had been and couldn't get in.
Shame it was absolutely brilliant, been a couple of times, quiet and yet with the free boat right at the center of things as well.
Love Amsterdam, used to go every new year on a coach trip, not been now though for at least 5 years.

You will enjoy it and good food in the bar we are thinking of going Sunday ourselves

We stopped at Zeeburg a few years ago. Great for access to the city on our bikes then next day via the tram.
Great bar on site as well.

Been to Amsterdam a few times a bit like NY not wanting to go back. Bikes and people by the thousands. Train station is right in the middle of everything so I would look at a train in from well outside.
