Amazon firestick ??

We have an older tv in our van which doesn’t have a HTMI port - only a SCART port, what is the best way to connect a FIRESTICK ?
(I see various models & unsure which would suit ? - oh, and will i still need the tv’s remote or can the tv channel selection be done via the Firestick remote ?

I don’t think it will work without a hdmi socket, unless there’s such a thing as a hdmi to scart adapter.

Amazon sell HDMI to SCART converters which some claim work with FireStick and others say not!

Is getting a current/recently built TV an option too?

Edit:
You’ll need the TV remote for initial setup. If I recall correctly next the Firestick remote can have remote control of TV added.

Any recent Firestick model is decent. Do make sure it’s the current generation. Those are faster in menus.
If on offer the 4K model is the usual goto

Trouble is you are not going to get the best experience with your Firestick (amazing bits of kit for the money) with your current setup. I would think it best to renew your existing TV if funds permit then consider purchasing a Firestick.

Hmmm . . . At my age I don't think it's worth buying a new TV but I might look at the HDMI to SCART thingy,
