Our Avtex tv is 23 months old and had a problem so I rang Avtex in Cardiff, they collected the tv the next day Tuesday phoned me on Wednesday to discuss the problem and delivered it back to me Thursday morning all fixed.

Now that is what I call great service!!!

I think Avtex should start to build motorhomes! :D

We had similar very good service on ours that was nearly 3 years old (y)

Second that just rang and spoke to them about a problem (quite minor) they sorted it out in seconds, brilliant firm to deal with.

Thirded. Superb service

I know Avtex service is good and all that, but their stuff doesn't half break down with alarming consistency.

Both mine lasted less than a year each so I binned the second one.

Wasn’t with the DVD player was it ?
I'm sure it won't surprise you to hear that it was in my case! It has been ok on the few times that we have used it since.

You could have returned it and got a new one. They did that with my 3 year old TV.

This is the first problem we have had in 10 years of using Avtex TVs but we have never used the DVD player.

Yes I know, but I didn't want a new one that would break down again, and when you are working its a hassle returning goods and taking delivery etc.

Had our previous Avtex TV for nearly ten years without any issue, so bought a new Pro last year. Sold the old one, faultless, for a good price on eBay.
They get my vote.

Its probably just me being an unlucky sod:)

We bought an Avtex from Comet. Worked perfectly on mains, but dead as a Dodo on 12v. Tried an ancient 12v lead I'd kept which worked perfectly hence it was a prob with the lead not the telly. However the ancient lead got red hot pdq so that wasn't a solution hence I rang Avtex who told me nowt to do with them and I needed to get it replaced via Comet. Took it back - they said they'd have to order another complete telly, would take over a week. We'd bought it specifically to watch something we'd been following up to now whilst we were away, and by this stage we were going wherever in two days time.

What if all Avtex 12v leads were faulty too?

We opted for refund and do without.
