Anything carried behind the rear axle has the same effect: the load the rear axle is increased and the load on the front decreased by an amount dependant on the weight of the object and its distance behind the rear axle. There's an online calculator somewhere.Rob do you know if this type of rack puts a lot more load on the rear axle I ask as I am thinking of getting a twist and go type scooter to put in my garage then have the ebikes on this type of rack but I am worried I will overload the rear axle.
