In case anyone uses these https://algarvemotorhomepark.com/pt/ whilst visiting Portugal it might be handy to check pitch availability which is now on their website. Can see that currently no pitches free in Silves or Falesia but 26 in Tavira.

The photo shown is of Tavira (and very nice it is too.)
They all look very well appointed - lucky you if you are out there in the sunshine :sun: We liked Tavira & ate many a Menu Del Dia there. What sort of prices do they charge at this time of year?

Feb. €7.50 a night. €2.50 Elect.
Next month the nightly fee goes down 50cents.
The only problem with them is they don't take bookings.
You could be on your way there and they could fill up before arrival.
I appreciate, from the numbers given above that Tavira wouldn't be a problem but, when we arrived there 10days ago, we obtained one of their last pitches.
Next year, once everyone gets to know of Tavira's existence, (it only opened in September) they'll be queueing out of the door.

Although we are at turiscampo we had a ride in our hire car to camping albuferia they where turning people away telling them they where completely full .

Staying in Albuifiera and lots parked up outside it definitely wasn't this bust here last winter.

We're in the one next door at falesia, they're both rammed but have places available in the mornings

Albuferia and Vilamoura within easy walking distance

At Alvor at moment plenty of room plus free on the car park with no Problems.Hot and sunny??
Plenty of room at Alvor? you must be joking it's rammed and the palms are quite full Alvor air has filled up this last week since it dried out a little.

Plenty of Vinho Tinto in Albufeira

I have arrived today on Camping Albufeira with another motorhomer and we had only 2 pitches to choose from. They are expecting a large dutch party coming tomorrow and Camping and Caravan rally are here, so very busy.

Not as warm as last year, but dryer and brighter than the UK, staying in double figures at night blue sky and sunshine again this morning!

The bottom line is, I suppose is that Portugal and Spain's worst winter day, on the coast is usually better than the best winter day in the UK.
I appreciate the anomalies but, as a resident of England's warmest winter county, (Cornwall) I would struggle to imagine sitting out in the back garden in shorts and T shirt typing this rubbish.
And in other news, we have moved further north to Peniche where, after a morning of the wet stuff (I didn't know. I was travelling through it), the Sun is beating down.
