I have drained the water down on the Alde System and went out in the van today, parked up and put the heating on gas. Heating worked for a while but then we realised it wasnt working. Control panel was blank and wouldnt respond. Leisure & Vehicle batteries were showing 13v when the panel went off.
Drove home and when I parked up I saw the panel was on and the van had heated up to 24 degrees. I turned it all off. Have searched on here but can only see threads relating to permanently blank panel. Checked the manual I have and cant see any reason for it happening. Any ideas as to what may be the issue?

This may not be your situation but on our caravan we had a blank panel and then it worked, blank/work etc for a few times until it would not work at all.

Inside the heater unit is a PCB and on that there is a thermal fuse that gradually fails. Eventually failing completely.

The PCB was about £200 and a new thermal fuse £0.99. If you are skilled at soldering onto PCBs then it is worth a shot.

Thanks David and Sally I have read that thread so may grab a spare before it goes although I still have some warranty left so may go down that route
